Pasqua

I spent the morning watching a rehearsal for an Easter ceremony where adults are baptized and receive other sacraments. I was there in hopes of interviewing my biography subject, a nun who works with the Hispanic community. It was good to see her at work. I learned that the Catholic Church allows adults to be baptized on Easter weekend only. Children may be baptized at any time, but adults cannot. I did not know this. It would be interesting to follow someone through the year long Catholic education process, leading up to his/her Easter baptism. It sounds like the official ceremony is quite beautiful and elaborate, and could make for some lovely pictures.
